Sport is a universal language that can bring people together, no matter what their origin, backgrounds, religious beliefs or economic status

Kofi Annan, UN Secretary-General, 2005

Our goals and tasks are of a large-scale range and reflect the needs of adolescents and society and the significance of sport as a social phenomenon.
The specific goals of the tournament are:

The development and stimulation of the children, juvenile and youth football (soccer)

Provision of a chance of international manifestation of young football (soccer) players

Strengthening the positions and improvement of the sports mastership

Recruitment and stimulation of young talents

Exchange of experience between coaches and competitors

Upbringing in the principles of fair play

Becoming conscious of the “Sports without doping” idea

Abolishment of the sex and race discrimination on the playground and beyond its limits

Building bridges between cultures and between religions

Popularisation of football (soccer) among adolescents

Besides the above stated specific goals, we strive for the achievement of some goals of a wider range, as sport has such aims in the modern society.
The sports and the physical education of adolescents contribute to the children’s learning of essential values and vital skills for their further survival, such as self-confidence, leadership, teamwork, communication skills, discipline, respect and fair play under certain rules, etc.
The skills and values acquired through sports are particularly important for the girls, taking into consideration their more limited capabilities compared to boys’ capabilities for social interaction beyond home and family circle. By the means of sports the girls have the chance to be leaders and develop their confidence and self-respect.
In the modern globalising world without borders, the adolescents’ early socialisation and habituation to communication with communities of different nationality and religion are of exclusive importance. And such international sports events are favourable means for the achievement of this goal.
The sport as a universal language can be a powerful means for the maintenance of peace, tolerance and understanding and this power can be used to bring people closer beyond borders, cultures and religions.
